'Other Campaign' update: 8th - 23rd June 2007

Hmmm, things incredibly quiet at the moment. Anyway…

Firstly, a welcome piece on the forthcoming Intergalactic, stressing the anti-capitalist nature of the struggle, the need for autonomy, the need for a global response and collective organization.

For anyone planning to take part, there has been a change of date for the ‘International Day of Action Against Repression and for the Liberation of Political Prisoners in Mexico’ to the 18th of July in order to fit in with plans of the Other Campaign.

The Supreme Court of Mexico has appointed a commission to look at civil rights violations in Oaxaca during the recent struggle there. Whether any meaningful charges will be brought for those guilty of over 20 murders remains to be seen…

Finally, an interesting article on grassroots organizing in New York using the Zapatistas as an inspiration.
